French Country Home

This new home draws on the French country tradition: stone and stucco walls, steep roofs with flared eaves, copper-roofed bays, and arched-top windows throughout. A matching detached garage carries the same stone gable and arched doors.

Inside, we organized the main floor around a sequence of segmented arch openings, so the foyer, living, dining and library flow into one another while each room keeps its own character. The kitchen, breakfast area and keeping room open together at the back of the house and lead out to a covered terrace with an outdoor fireplace. Upstairs, each bedroom suite has its own sitting area, including a primary suite with a fireplace, and the finished lower level adds a media room, game room and recreation space.
