Home & Carriage House

This new home was designed as one of four custom homes I'm creating with a local builder on a set of neighboring lots. Each home has its own character, and this one pairs a two-story main house with a detached carriage house along the alley.

The main house has an open great room, kitchen and family dining area that flow out to a covered rear porch, with a flexible office or guest bedroom on the first floor and three bedrooms upstairs. A deep covered front porch faces the street.

The carriage house holds a two-car garage with a two-bedroom accessory dwelling unit above, adding room for family, guests or rental income.

Board-and-batten and lap siding, gable trim and standing-seam metal accent roofs give both buildings a cohesive farmhouse character.
