Ranch Revamp

These homeowners came to me through a referral from their contractor. They bought this ranch home for its property, but the house itself was dark, closed off and anything but welcoming.

We opened up the walls to bring light and connection into the main living spaces. I designed a first-floor primary suite with a sitting room for enjoying the sunrise, and gave the children's bedrooms a private space of their own. The homeowners took on much of the work themselves, and it shows in every detail. The homeowner's father built all of the cabinetry by hand, reclaimed wood posts add warmth and character, and the original doorbell stays as a nod to the home's former life.

Filled with the plants this family loves, the home is now warm, open and welcoming, and a true reflection of the care they put into it.
